Sponsorship Money

Pressure is on to get the sponsorship money in quickly to meet the deadline for deposits.  It’s been a slow start raising funds, but momentum has started.  The press has been down and the council are trying to help as well.  We’ve a few leads that we are following up, but always happy to hear of any ideas that people have.

Next stop is going to be a sponsored obstacle course, I’m sure the club will make it especially challenging for me

The competitors at the club have been working hard this year. I’m not a slave driver, we have a great atmosphere and all help to keep each other motivated.  To help with the team spirit, Gill and I are organising a surprise activity for all our competitors in the club. Watch this space…..

Had busy day today, been training at the Park with Dale, Sam and Pish. Tried doing some tricks, had an interesting attempt at butterfly kick.  Anyhow, all went well until Gill turned up with my dog.  Managed to get in some running practise, then took the kids for an ice cream (including the dog

WKA World Championships Blog

Just getting started with Blogging.  The plan is to give the members of the Blackpool Karate Club competing in the World Championships a place to share their experiences, views etc. It’s a lot of pressure raising money for sponsorship and training, so it’s nice to talk from time to time about it.

Still working on the website to go with the blog, it will be finished (in skeleton shortly). Then I’ll link up all the blogs. Hopefully, we’ll have some good posts to keep our readers entertained.
